About Us

The Organization was established to work towards achieving Maharishi Vethathiri’s aim of World Peace with a foundation in individual peace, built through peace in the family, community, country and culminating in World Peace.

The mandate of the Organization is to teach and train individuals to practice Simplified Kundalini Yoga thereby achieve  peace and health, and to spread the messages of the great Saints. The members of the Centre will work without ego or prejudice and not be influenced by race, religion, caste, creed, gender, age, or wealth.

The Organization is registered in Canada as a Not-For-Profit-Corporation since 2009 and recertified in 2014

Goal of the Organization:

The primary goal of the Organization is to work for physical, mental, spiritual and social wellbeing of individuals and bring about health, happiness and peace in their lives; which will lead to peace in families and gradually spreading to the entire society through the philosophical, scientific, non-sectarian and practical teachings of Vethathiri Maharishi.

The activities of the Organization are carried out by following the guidelines of The World Community Service Centre (WCSC), India established by Maharishi in 1958 for achieving world peace.

The activities of the Organization include:

Propagating the philosophy, principles and practices of Vethathiri Maharishi to all without any barriers of race, religion, creed, nationality or gender.

Teaching SKY system of meditation and allied practices developed by Vethathiri Maharishi comprising of:  A universal system of meditation, Simplified Physical Exercises, Kaya Kalpa Yoga, Introspection Techniques, Philosophical Expositions regarding Self, Society and Nature and Plans for the betterment of individuals and society.

Fostering welfare, mutual relationship, common understanding, and cordiality, and working towards promoting individual peace spreading to family peace and peace in the society as preached by Maharishi.

Conducting meditation and yoga classes, lectures, discourses and workshops under the guidance of Teachers who are certified by the World Community Service Centre in India and distributing audio, video, books and other published materials of the WCSC among members of the Centre in order to enhance their spiritual development.

Bringing intellectuals from diverse fields together to discuss ways and means of bringing about peace, prosperity and happiness in society.
